We will continue to use the services of Leicestershire County Council to administer our admissions and appeals.

Admissions for September 2025 Entry

Admissions for September 2024 Entry

Parents must apply to Leicestershire County Council by 15 January (of the year in which your child is due to start in the autumn). Parents will hear whether or not they have a place for the autumn term intake on 16 April.

Admission Procedure

If you live in the county you must apply via the Leicestershire County Council portal (external link) by 15 January prior to the autumn your child is due to start.

If you live within the city you must apply to Leicester City Council for a place at The Pochin School.

Pre-School Admissions

Children can attend the pre-school from their 3rd birthday or the term after their 3rd birthday. For more information about our pre-school, please visit https://www.pochin.bepschools.org/classes/pre-school/

Applications must be made by 31st March each year, to be considered for the Autumn Term following their third birthday. Children can be admitted mid-year from their third birthday, providing there are spaces available.

Places are allocated as stated in the Pre-School Admissions Policy.

To apply for a place, please complete the Pre-School Application Form and return to the main office, along with your child’s birth certificate and proof of address (i.e. council tax bill).
