The curriculum at The Pochin School this year may look slightly different to the plans below. This is due to staff members adjusting topics taught to support pupils/ classes who have been affected by Covid this academic year. The plans and topics are regularly reviewed to meet the needs of our pupils.
Developing Scientific Enquiry
At The Pochin School, we understand the importance of developing scientific enquiry. We want our children to ask questions and be inquisitive about the world around them. In our Science lessons, we aim to include a range of practical activities.
The children in Class 3 and Class 4 have been learning all about rocks!
They have tested permeability and durability of rocks as well as made their own fossils and compost bins – look at the wiggly worms!
