Covid Information from Our Trust – Bradgate Education Partnership

School Update – 30th September 2021

There is an increasing number of asymptomatic positive cases within the school. The majority of positive cases have been picked up after the school has requested a parent take their child for a PCR test due to a close contact with a Covid positive child. The school has decided to request all close contacts (identified within school) to have a PCR test. This is in line with Government Guidance relating to children as they do not have to self isolate…

Even if you do not have symptoms, you will be advised to have a PCR test as soon as possible. Children aged 4 and under will not be advised to take a test unless the positive case was someone in their own household.

However, you should not arrange to have a PCR test if you have previously received a positive PCR test result in the last 90 days, unless you develop any new symptoms of COVID-19, as it is possible for PCR tests to remain positive for some time after COVID-19 infection.
